Is There An Internet Outage?
Updates from the past 3 months
9/25/2025: 4:00 PM – There was a major outage when two of our fiber lines, going to our upstream provider in Spokane, were damaged by wildfires. We re-routed traffic through a third backup line to Federal Way. The following Sunday (9/28), the Federal Way line was damaged in Tacoma, so we were completely without internet for a day. By Sunday evening, the Federal Way line was repaired, and the following day, the Spokane lines were repaired. We began running normally again, after that.
UPDATE on the 9/23/2025 connection drops: We learned that the sporadic disconnects were caused by a faulty piece of equipment in our server room. We were able to swap it out with a spare part we had, as backup, so things should be running smoothly again.
9/23/2025: 5:29 PM – The past couple of weeks, we have had a few sporadic disconnects for about 5 minutes at a time. It appears to be a connection issue between us and the PUD, and it is affecting some of our customers. So if you’ve noticed your connection randomly drop for a few minutes, that could be why. We are currently investigating the problem.
6/24/2025: 12:00 AM – There was a full network outage for a few hours because one of our upstream providers was undergoing some maintenance updates.
6/6/2025: 10:17 PM – There was a full network outage that happened between our office and our upstream providers. Service came back online around 8:00 AM the following morning.
